You have a story worth telling. Getting it published shouldn’t feel like solving a puzzle in the dark.
Self-publishing has never been more accessible. It has also never had more moving parts, more conflicting advice, or more ways to accidentally spend money on the wrong thing at the wrong time. If you’ve ever stared at a screen wondering where to even start, you’re in the right place.
The Faithful Manuscript exists to cut through the noise for Christian authors who are serious about getting their story into the world, and making sure it looks like it belongs there when it arrives.
Start here.
Not sure where to begin? Grab the free Self-Publishing Checklist for Christian Authors. Five sections. Every step from first draft to launch day. No fluff, no filler, and you can check things off as you go. Which is deeply satisfying.
Ready to dig deeper? The blog is where we get into the real work, honest reviews of tools and platforms, practical guides through the publishing process, and the kind of straight talk that treats you like the capable, called person you are.

A quick word about where we are.
This is a new site and the article list is short right now. I’ll own that. But here’s what I’ve learned from nearly thirty years of working with authors: the best books aren’t written in isolation. Neither are the best resources.
If there’s a tool you’ve been trying to figure out, a concept that keeps tripping you up, or a question you’ve typed into Google three times without getting a straight answer, drop me a note. I read every message and I’d genuinely love to know what would help you most. There’s a real chance your question becomes the next article.
This is your resource as much as it is mine. Let’s build it together.

Who this is for.
Whether you’re a grandmother finally writing down your family’s immigration story, a pastor turning years of sermons into something your congregation can carry home, or a novelist finishing the faith-based story you’ve been building chapter by chapter, this site was built for you.
You don’t have to be a publishing expert. You just have to have something worth saying. We’ll handle the rest of it together.
When you’re ready for professional design.
The blog is free. The checklist is free. When you’re ready to talk about a cover and interior that honors the story you worked so hard to write, that’s what my studio at JohnEdgar.design is for.
